Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM PDT 1 April 2023 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located over northern Bowie.
By 8:00 p.m. PDT Sunday departing trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Explorer.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday approaching ridge located west of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 PM PDT 1 April 2023 On Sunday, a trough of low pressure will track southwards across
Bowie through the day then across Explorer Sunday evening.
Northwesterly gales will develop over Bowie early Sunday morning and
then spread to Explorer in the afternoon.

A building Pacific ridge of high pressure will approach the offshore
waters on Monday. As a result, northwest strong winds will be
widespread across most offshore and outer waters with gales
developing just west of Vancouver Island. Westerly gales will also
develop through Juan de Fuca Monday late afternoon.
