Issued 4:00 AM PST 7 February 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located from the North Coast
to Queen Charlotte Sound then to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today approaching low located west of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:04 AM PST 7 February 2026 A frontal system lying over North Vancouver Island will continue to
bring gale force southeasterly winds across the central and northern
waters and storm force winds over the headlands of Vancouver Island
this morning.

As this frontal system moves southward across Vancouver Island
through the day, southeasterly gales will develop over the inner
South Coast waters this morning into the evening. Winds will ease to
strong by the evening as the frontal system moves out of the region.

A large low pressure complex west of Bowie will continue to drift
eastward Saturday night, bringing an unstable airmass to the marine
regions. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds are expected over
the northern and central waters with a risk of thunderstorms.
