Issued 10:30 AM PDT 6 October 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary frontal system located
over the Central Coast.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PDT tonight merging frontal system located on a line
north-south over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:13 AM PDT 6 October 2024 A nearly stationary front over the Central Coast is generating a
swath of southerly gales over Eastern Queen Charlotte Sound,
Central Coast and west coast Vancouver Island. These winds will
persist for the remainder of the day.

Another frontal system will cross the northern waters today,
spreading gales into northern and central waters throughout the day.
Localized storm force southerly winds are expected near
The headlands of west coast Vancouver Island and Eastern Queen
Charlotte Sound this evening as this frontal system merges with
The quasi-stationary front hung up along the Central Coast.

The frontal system will move eastward and weaken to lie over the
Central Coast Monday. Winds will ease to strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the front and moderate southwesterlies
behind it.
