Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM PST 4 March 2024 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over northwestern Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Bowie.

By 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday approaching trough located west of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:42 PM PST 4 March 2024 A ridge of high pressure over the interior and a broad trough over
the South Coast will combine to give gale force outflow winds to
Douglas Channel, Dixon Entrance - east, and the Central Coast
On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

These outflow winds combined with cold temperatures will generate
freezing spray in Douglas Channel and a risk of freezing spray near
the other mainland inlets in the mornings.

On Tuesday, a trough will approach the offshore waters from the west,
generating strong to gale force southerlies in the evening.
