State.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Bowie.
By midnight PDT tonight ridge located over the Alaska panhandle
to Explorer.
At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located west of Bowie.
By midnight PDT Sunday frontal system located from the North Coast
to Haida Gwaii then to Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:43 AM PDT 16 May 2026 A trough over the South Coast will create conditions favourable forwaterspout development over the Strait of Georgia, Howe Sound, and
west coast Vancouver Island from now through midday today.
A ridge of high pressure will build over the offshore waters today.
As the ridge approaches the coast, gale force westerlies will develop
through Juan de Fuca Strait late this afternoon before easing to
strong westerlies tonight.
