northeast-southwest over the northwestern South Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 1020 mb located over the northwestern
South Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over eastern
Greenland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 AM NDT 21 April 2026 A nearly stationary trough of low pressure over the East Labrador Seaand a ridge of high pressure east of Greenland will cause strong to
gale force southeasterlies to persist over the East Labrador Sea
today. Winds will diminish this afternoon as the trough gradually
weakens.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Northwest Labrador Sea.
