Issued 9:30 PM NST 6 March 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located southeast of the EastLabrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday departing trough located southeast of
the Marine District.
At 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday approaching low 992 mb located over
Ungava Bay.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line north-south
over Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:21 PM NST 6 March 2026 A trough of low pressure southeast of the East Labrador Sea willcontinue to track southeastward tonight. Meanwhile, a ridge of high
pressure will approach the marine district from the west. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies over most waters between these two
features will gradually diminish as the trough moves away and the
ridge approaches.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
