Issued 4:00 AM NST 3 March 2021 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located over Belle Isle Bank.By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the South Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 976 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 4:03 AM NST 3 March 2021 A trough of low pressure over Belle Isle Bank will move northwardtowards the Labrador Sea today then westward towards the Labrador
coast tonight. Meanwhile, an intense low pressure system will form
over Southeastern Labrador this afternoon then meander around in that
general vicinity for the next few days. Strong to gale force
easterly to northeasterly winds over most waters will increase to
gale to storm force later today ahead of the trough. Behind the
trough, strong to gale force southeasterly to northeasterly winds
will persist.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
