Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 18 January 2020 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 957 mb located east of Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday departing low 962 mb located east of
Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
western Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line east-west over
southern Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:17 PM NST 18 January 2020 An intense low pressure system east of the Labrador Sea will move to
lie east of Greenland tonight. Gale to storm force northwesterlies
are expected for most waters as a result of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the South Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
