By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday low 970 mb located over central Labrador
Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight dissipating ridge located over Labrador
Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:42 PM NST 26 January 2023 An intensifying low pressure system approaching from the southwestwill cross the Labrador Sea on Friday. Gale to storm force
southeasterly to northeasterly winds will develop ahead of the low
tonight before shifting to gale to storm force west to
northwesterlies in its wake on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville where a gale warning is in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
