Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 14 November 2019 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 959 mb located northeast of the Marine
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday departing low 964 mb located over northern
Davis Strait.

At 9:30 a.m. NST Friday intensifying trough located on a line
north-south over Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Friday deepening low 999 mb located southwest of
Lake Melville.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:43 PM NST 14 November 2019 An intense low pressure system just northeast of the marine district
will move northward into the Davis Strait tonight. Gale to storm
force west to northwesterlies in its wake will slowly diminish
tonight as the low moves northward.

A trough of low pressure will intensify into a low pressure system as
it approaches from the west on Friday. Strong to gale force
southerlies are expected to develop over southern waters ahead of
this feature late on Friday.

Marine interests are advised a storm warning is in effect for East
Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, Mid Labrador Coast, and North Labrador
