Issued 9:30 AM NST 24 January 2020 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 974 mb located over
the coast of Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Funk Island Bank.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of Funk
Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 AM NST 24 January 2020 A low pressure system near the west coast of Greenland will remain
nearly stationary for the forecast period while a ridge of high
pressure builds over Atlantic Canada. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies are expected between these two features.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
