Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NST 15 November 2019 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 960 mb located north of the Marine
By 9:30 a.m. NST today departing low 964 mb located over northern
Davis Strait.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying trough located on a line
north-south over Quebec.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday deepening low 982 mb located over the
Mid Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM NST 15 November 2019 A low pressure system over the Davis Strait will continue northward
today. Strong to gale force west to southwesterlies will diminish
this morning as the low moves away.

A trough of low pressure will develop into a low pressure system as
it crosses Labrador today, then rapidly intensify off the Labrador
coast tonight. Strong to gale force southeast to northeasterlies are
expected to develop ahead of this feature today. Winds will
strengthen on Saturday, with gale to storm force east to
northeasterlies ahead of the low, and gale to storm force
northwesterlies behind it.
