Issued 4:00 PM NST 9 December 2019 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 987 mb located north of the MarineDistrict.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday departing low 995 mb located north of
the Marine District.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the East Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line east-west over
southern Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday low 988 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:55 PM NST 9 December 2019 A low pressure system north of the marine district will slowly weakenas a ridge of high pressure builds from the southwest. Strong to gale
force westerlies will diminish tonight between these features as the
low weakens.
A trough of low pressure over Quebec will move north tonight and
develop into a low over the Labrador coast Tuesday afternoon. Strong
to gale force east to southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea - southern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
