Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 10 February 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the South Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight dissipating trough located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today intensifying low 968 mb located over the
northern Grand Banks.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday low 959 mb located south of the East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:27 AM NST 10 February 2025 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Sea will drift
northeastward today before dissipating this evening. Gale force
northerlies to northwesterlies will develop to the west of the trough
today.

An intensifying low pressure system over the Northern Grand Banks
will move northward to lie south of the East Labrador Sea by Tuesday
morning. Strong to gale force north to northwesterlies will increase
to gale to storm force northwesterlies to the west of the low, and
strong to gale force northeasterlies to its northeast.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and Northwest Labrador Sea.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
