Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 8 April 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 994 mb located 60 miles north of
Cartwright.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday dissipating low 999 mb located south of
Lake Melville.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Belle Isle Bank.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:46 AM NDT 8 April 2020 A low pressure system north of Cartwright will move southwestward to
lie and weaken south of Lake Melville today. A trough of low pressure
over Belle Isle Bank associated with the low will move north to lie
over the South Labrador Sea this evening. Gale force northeasterly
winds to the north of this system will persist through Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea.
