Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 26 April 2025 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Sunday departing ridge located over the East
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 1002 mb located over
Ungava Bay.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Sunday quasi-stationary low 980 mb located north
of Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:24 PM NDT 26 April 2025 A deepening low pressure system over Ungava Bay will move to lie
north of the marine district on Sunday. Over northern waters, strong
to gale force southerlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to
gale force westerlies as it passes.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea -
northern half.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Northwest Labrador Sea.
