Issued 4:00 AM NST 6 November 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. NST today trough located from Labrador Sea to Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Belle Isle Bank.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over
northern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located from Quebec to Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 988 mb located northwest of Hudson Bay.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday low 993 mb located over Baffin Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM NST 6 November 2026 A trough of low pressure stretching from the Labrador Sea to Quebec
will track southeastwards today and move to lie over Belle Isle Bank
by overnight tonight. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of the
trough will switch to strong north to northwesterlies in the wake of
the trough.

Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure will build in from the west
through tonight as a low pressure system passes well northwest of the
district. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will develop between
these two features over northwestern waters overnight tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Labrador Sea.
