Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 18 October 2019 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line east-west over
the Northwest Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing ridge located north of the
Marine District.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 991 mb located near Anticosti Island.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Saturday low 994 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 PM NDT 18 October 2019 A low pressure system near Anticosti Island will continue
northeastwards across Southeastern Labrador tonight and stall off the
Mid Labrador Coast on Saturday. Strong to gale force southeasterly to
northeasterly winds will spread across the marine district tonight
ahead of the low. Strong to gale force northerlies will persist
behind the low on Saturday, especially over northern sections of the
Mid Labrador Coast, where gale force northerlies will continue well
into Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador
Coast - Hopedale and south.
