Issued 4:00 AM NDT 10 October 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeastover the East Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located northeast of the
Marine District.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Friday trough located on a line east-west over
the Mid Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:45 AM NDT 10 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over Newfoundland will approach the marinedistrict from the south today before strengthening into a low over
the Mid Labrador Coast on Friday. Strong to gale force easterlies
will spread across most waters today and tonight ahead of the trough.
Winds will strengthen to gale to storm force east to northeasterlies
on Friday as the low develops.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and East Labrador Sea -
southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for North Labrador Coast,
Northwest Labrador Sea - southern half, and East Labrador Sea -
northern half.
