By 4:00 a.m. NDT Monday quasi-stationary low 984 mb located east
of Funk Island Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line north-south
over Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line north-south over
Ungava Bay.
At 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the North Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:14 AM NDT 12 April 2026 A low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will tracknortheastward today and intensify east of Funk Island Bank, where it
will remain nearly stationary. Strong to gale force northerlies to
northwesterlies will develop over southern waters this evening as a
result of this low.
A trough of low pressure will approach from the west on Monday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the trough
late on Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, and South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half.
