Issued 9:30 PM NST 27 January 2023 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 969 mb located over the northern EastLabrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday departing low 980 mb located east of
Greenland.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located over Labrador.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:21 PM NST 27 January 2023 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will tracknortheastwards to lie east of the marine district by overnight
tonight and east of Greenland by Saturday afternoon. Gale to storm
force northwesterly winds in the wake of the trough will diminish as
a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in
effect for all remaining waters except Lake Melville and South
Labrador Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
