Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 7 December 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 969 mb located over the Northwest
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary low 979 mb located north
of Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 PM NST 7 December 2024 A low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will track
northward to lie just north of the Labrador Sea by this evening.
South to southwesterly gales to the east of the low will diminish to
strong to gale force southwesterlies as the low departs, while
northwesterly gales elsewhere will diminish to strong westerlies.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast,
North Labrador Coast - Saglek and south, and South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half.
