District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:41 AM NDT 12 October 2024 An intense area of low pressure over the South Labrador Sea todaywill begin to weaken tonight as it moves to lie south of
Greenland by Sunday afternoon. Generally gale to storm force
easterlies will increase to storm to hurricane force northeasterlies
today before diminishing to gale to storm force easterlies this
evening and strong to gale force on Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for East Labrador Sea - southern half. Storm warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Sea - northern half, and Northwest
Labrador Sea - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea -
northern half, and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
