Issued 4:00 PM NST 8 March 2021 Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwestover Belle Isle Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing trough located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over western Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Tuesday weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Strait of Belle Isle.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:49 PM NST 8 March 2021 A trough of low pressure over Northern Belle Isle Bank will movesoutheastward and depart east of Belle Isle Bank tonight. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies in the wake of the trough will diminish
tonight as a ridge of high pressure builds into the Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, and South Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
