Issued 4:00 PM NST 23 January 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 981 mb located north of the Northwest
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing low 986 mb located northwest
of the Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today deepening low 980 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday low 976 mb located over the eastern East
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:00 PM NST 23 January 2026 A low pressure system north of the Northwest Labrador Sea will depart
to the west tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are
expected to persist over northern waters today as a result of the
low.

A second low pressure system southeast of Greenland will approach the
district from the west on Saturday. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies are expected to develop west of the low over most
waters through the day on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except East Labrador Sea.
