Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NST 9 December 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over northern Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Wednesday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:19 PM NST 9 December 2025 A trough of low pressure located over the Northern Labrador Sea will
begin weakening as it starts drifting slowly southward tonight.
Strong to gale force easterlies to the east of the trough will
gradually diminish tonight while strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies to its south and west gradually diminish by late
Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville, the Labrador coast, and South Labrador Sea.
