Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 23 February 2020 Today Tonight and Monday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 988 mb located over the northern East
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday weakening low 992 mb located over the
coast of Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough from low located over the South
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough from low located over
Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:17 AM NST 23 February 2020 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will slowly track
towards the Greenland coast today. A trough extending from the low
will continue southeastwards and exit the Labrador Sea later today.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist behind the trough
until late on Monday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
