Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 11 December 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 970 mb located over
the East Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line east-west
over central Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Thursday departing trough located southeast of
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:23 AM NST 11 December 2019 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will remain nearly
stationary through the remainder of the forecast period.
An associated trough will move southward across the South Labrador
Sea today and tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies can be
expected to the north of the trough today, with gale to storm force
westerlies to its south. Winds will shift to gale to storm force
northwesterlies in the wake of the trough by this evening.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea,
Northwest Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea - southern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea.
