Wind southeast 10 to 15 knots increasing to southeast 25 near noon and to southeast 35 this afternoon. Wind veering to southwest 35 to 45 this evening then to northwest 35 to 45 late overnight and locally gusts to 55 along the coast overnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 Sunday afternoon.

Snow or rain ending near midnight. Flurries Sunday late in the day. Visibility 1 mile or less in precipitation.

Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located east of Labrador
Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:22 AM NDT 24 October 2020 A low pressure system will approach from the west today, crossing
Northern Labrador this evening to lie over the Labrador Sea tonight.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low
this afternoon, then shift to gale force northwesterly on Sunday in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
