Issued 9:30 PM NST 20 January 2021 Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located over Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing trough located on a line
north-south over the Torngat Mountains.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located southeast of Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Thursday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight low 978 mb located over the South
Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Thursday dissipating low 985 mb located over
northern Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:18 PM NST 20 January 2021 A trough of low pressure over the Mid Labrador Coast will move slowly
westwards tonight and depart the district. Meanwhile, another trough
will approach the district from the southeast tonight to lie over the
Northwest Labrador Sea Thursday afternoon. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies ahead of the first trough will shift to gale to storm
force easterlies in its wake as the second trough approaches.
Winds will shift to strong southerlies to the south of the second
trough on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador Coast.
