Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 15 November 2019 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying trough located west of Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday deepening low 978 mb located over the
South Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:44 PM NST 15 November 2019 A trough of low pressure will develop into a low pressure system as
it crosses Labrador this evening, then rapidly intensify off the
Labrador coast tonight. Strong to gale force southeasterlies are
expected to develop ahead of this feature tonight. Winds will
strengthen on Saturday, with gale to storm force east to
northeasterlies ahead of the low, and gale to storm force
northwesterlies behind it.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Lake Melville.
