By 4:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 969 mb located south of Ungava Bay.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located east of the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:25 AM NST 11 December 2024 A low pressure system over the Northeastern United States willrapidly deepen as it tracks northward across Quebec tonight and
Thursday to lie south of Ungava Bay by Thursday afternoon.
Strong to gale force south to southeasterlies will develop over most
waters on Thursday. Winds will further strengthen to gale to storm
force easterlies over northwestern waters Thursday evening.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Northwest Labrador Sea - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.
