Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 5 February 2023 Tonight and Monday At 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located over
southern Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:40 PM NST 5 February 2023 Strong to gale force westerlies are forecast tonight and Monday for
most areas due to a trough of low pressure near Southern Greenland
and a ridge of high pressure building over Labrador.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea - southeastern
half and East Labrador Sea.
