over Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening ridge located from Explorer
to the Central Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today weakening frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over Bowie.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located west of Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Thursday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:41 AM PDT 20 May 2026 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, northwesterly gales over Johnstone
Strait and West Vancouver Island will develop this afternoon and then
ease overnight. Winds will redevelop late Thursday afternoon.

A frontal system tracking across Bowie today will give southerly
gales to Northern Bowie this morning and then ease in the afternoon.
