Issued 4:00 PM PST 7 December 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. PST today low 997 mb located west of Haida Gwaii.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight weakening low 1005 mb located over
Hecate Strait.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Sunday building ridge located from the Gulf of
Alaska to Explorer.

At 9:00 p.m. PST Sunday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 PM PST 7 December 2024 A 990 MB low currently west of Haida Gwaii will track toward
Hecate Strait tonight. To the south of the low, gale force southwest
and west winds are affecting central waters. As the low moves
Towards eastward, while weakening, the winds will veer to gale force
northwesterlies this evening and spread to southern waters.

A building ridge of high pressure arrives on Sunday with weakening
northwest winds.

Another frontal system will cross northern waters on Monday
Bringing gale force southerlies.
