Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PST 3 March 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PST today low located off Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Monday departing low located over the South Coast.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over northern
BC interior.

By 4:00 a.m. PST Monday approaching ridge located northwest
of Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:15 AM PST 3 March 2024 A ridge of high pressure over the interior and a broad low pressure
system offshore will combine to give gale force outflow winds to
Douglas Channel, Dixon Entrance - east, and the Central Coast
Tonight and Sunday.

These strong outflow winds combined with cold temperatures will
generate freezing spray in Douglas Channel tonight and a risk of
freezing spray near the other inlets.
