Issued 4:00 PM PST 26 January 2021 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over Explorer.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday departing frontal system located on a
line northwest-southeast over Explorer.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday intensifying trough located from the
Alaska panhandle to Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:34 PM PST 26 January 2021 A frontal system over Explorer will gradually weaken tonight before
exiting the region Wednesday morning. Ahead of the front, gale to
storm force southeasterlies over southern waters west of Vancouver
Island will ease overnight.

In the wake of the front, a trough of low pressure will develop from
the Alaskan Panhandle to Explorer on Wednesday. Northerly gales will
develop over Bowie early Wednesday morning and ease in the afternoon.

Additionally, a ridge of high pressure will remain over the BC
Interior for a few days. Strong to gale force outflow winds will
prevail through the mainland inlets of the BC coast.
