Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:56 AM PDT 20 April 2019 A ridge of high pressure currently runs from Haida Gwaii southwards
through Northwestern Explorer. Northwesterly gales over
West Vancouver Island, mainly in the vicinity of the Brooks
Peninsula, will ease this morning.
Southerly gales will develop over Bowie this afternoon ahead of an
approaching cold front. Gale force southerly winds will spread to
central and north coastal waters tonight. Gale force winds will
persist near the mainland coast through Sunday.
A deep area of low pressure will approach offshore waters late
Monday, bringing another round of gale force southerly winds to the
