At 1:00 p.m. PST today low 987 mb located over the northern Strait
of Georgia.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today low located over BC interior.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight building ridge located over the offshore
waters.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday trough located west of Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Sunday trough located over Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:23 AM PST 14 December 2024 A low pressure system will approach West Vancouver Island thismorning. It will slowly cross Vancouver Island and move to the B.C.
Interior by late afternoon.
Over the southern and central waters, gale to storm force southeast
winds will persist ahead of the low and gale to storm force north
Or northwest winds will follow behind the low. These winds will
diminish as the low moves to the B.C. Interior and a ridge of high
pressure builds on tonight.
The next system is approaching on Sunday afternoon, bringing
widespread gale to storm force southeast winds to mainly the outer
coasts.
