Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM PST 5 December 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located on a line north-south
over Haida Gwaii.
By 10:30 a.m. PST today departing frontal system located from the
North Coast to Cape Scott then to Tofino.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Friday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday approaching frontal system located off
Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:36 AM PST 5 December 2024 A frontal system over Haida Gwaii will move onto the North Coast this
morning. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will continue today and
tonight over central and northern coastal waters.

Another frontal system will track across the offshore waters tonight
and onto the Central Coast Friday morning. Ahead of the front,
southerly gales will develop over the offshore waters near midday and
spread to west coast Haida Gwaii this evening. Southerly gales will
continue Friday across central and northern coastal waters.

Localized southeast storms will develop this afternoon over Queen
Charlotte Sound and the headlands of West Vancouver Island North and
ease early this evening. But they will redevelop overnight and then
ease late in the day Friday.
