By 9:30 p.m. PDT Thursday approaching frontal system located
southwest of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:56 PM PDT 15 April 2026 A strengthening ridge of high pressure over the Pacific Ocean is
giving northwesterly gales to Southern Explorer and West Coast
Vancouver Island South. Winds will ease below gale force this
evening. Winds will continue to ease on Thursday as the ridge
Slowly moves to lie over the offshore waters Thursday afternoon.
