Wind westerly 5 to 15 knots except south 5 to 15 near the coast south of Estevan Point late this afternoon. Wind becoming southwest 20 late overnight then increasing to south 25 to 35 Friday morning except northwest 25 to 35 over northern sections Friday afternoon. Wind becoming northwest 25 to 35 Friday afternoon then diminishing to west 20 to 25 Friday evening.

Scattered showers changing to rain Friday morning then to showers Friday afternoon.

Issued 4:00 PM PDT 30 March 2023 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located over Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday frontal system located from Haida Gwaii
to Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday departing frontal system located over
Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:42 PM PDT 30 March 2023 A Pacific frontal system over Bowie this afternoon will track
southeastward tonight. Strong to gale force southerly winds are
expected ahead of the system. In its wake, winds shift to strong to
gale force westerly or northwesterly.

The frontal system will reach Vancouver Island Friday afternoon and
generate strong to marginal gale force southeasterly winds in the
Strait of Georgia. Strong to marginal gale force westerly winds are
expected in the Juan de Fuca Strait as the system departs the South
Coast Friday evening.
