Wind southeast 15 to 25 knots increasing to southeast 25 to 30 this evening except southeast 30 to 35 northwest of Estevan Point. Wind becoming southeast 15 to 25 near noon Tuesday then diminishing to variable 5 to 15 Tuesday evening except southwest 15 to 20 over southern sections.
Periods of drizzle beginning this evening changing to showers Tuesday morning with a risk of thunderstorms. Fog patches dissipating Tuesday morning.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today low 1008 mb located over southern Explorer.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday high 1006 mb located over central Explorer.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:50 PM PDT 27 June 2022 A low pressure system over Southern Explorer will slowly track
towards Central Explorer tonight. Consequently, moderate to strong
southeast winds off west coast Vancouver Island will increase to
strong to gale force this evening. Winds will diminish on Tuesday as
the low weakens.
Westerly strong to gale force winds will also impact central and
eastern sections of the Juan de Fuca Strait this evening. Winds will
diminish near or just after midnight.
