northeast-southwest over western Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Saturday quasi-stationary ridge located from
Explorer to the Central Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday trough located off Bowie.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Saturday departing trough located on a line
north-south over Hecate Strait.

Issued 9:16 PM PDT 21 May 2026 Ahead of a ridge of high pressure, northwesterly gales over Johnstone
Strait and West Vancouver Island will develop Friday afternoon and
then ease early Saturday morning.
