Issued 4:00 AM PDT 28 April 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south overcentral Vancouver Island.
By 2:00 p.m. PDT today weakening ridge located over southern
Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT today frontal system located over Hecate Strait.
By 9:00 a.m. PDT today departing frontal system located over the
Central Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:48 AM PDT 28 April 2025 A ridge of high pressure over Central Vancouver Island will moveeastward and weaken over Southern Vancouver Island early this
afternoon. As the ridge shifts eastward, a frontal system over
Hecate Strait will move across the Central Coast later this morning.
Ahead of the front, strong to gale force southeast winds over the
northern coastal waters will ease to moderate to strong southwest
behind the system.
