Issued 10:30 AM PDT 17 May 2026 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Monday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over northern Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located west of Bowie.
By 11:00 a.m. PDT Monday trough located on a line north-south over
northern Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:28 AM PDT 17 May 2026 A trough over northern waters is generating southeast gales over
Northwest Haida Gwaii. The trough will shift eastward generating
southeasterly gales over Dixon Entrance East and northern sections of
Hecate Strait beginning this evening. Winds will weaken early Monday
morning.
