Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:03 AM PST 4 November 2024 An intense low pressure system located over the North Coast will moveinto the interior near noon.
Ahead of the low, southerly gale to storm force winds have developed
over parts of the central and southern waters. In the wake of the
low, northwesterly gale to storm force winds are expected over much
of the outer waters and will spread into the inner south coastal
waters today.
Most winds will gradually ease below gale force by this evening as
the low departs and a ridge approaches. However, westerly gales
through Juan de Fuca Strait will persist into the overnight period.
On Tuesday, another frontal system offshore crosses the northern and
central waters bringing southeasterly gale to storm force winds to
the region.
