Wind becoming northeast 20 late this afternoon except northeast 35 south of Tsawwassen this evening and northeast 25 south of Tsawwassen overnight and Sunday morning. Wind diminishing to variable 5 to 15 Sunday morning except northeast 20 south of Tsawwassen Sunday morning and afternoon.

By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing trough located southwest of
Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PST today building ridge located over northeastern
BC interior.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Sunday quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:22 AM PST 28 January 2023 A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to strengthen over
The British Columbia Interior today. Strong to gale force outflow
winds in the mainland inlets will intensify to gale to storm force as
the ridge strengthens today.

Winds will diminish late in the day Sunday as the high over the
interior eventually merges with the ridge offshore to become a broad
area of high pressure over the marine district.
