Issued 9:30 PM PDT 22 October 2020 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located over southern
Haida Gwaii.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Friday departing frontal system located over
Juan de Fuca Strait.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight building ridge located over northern
BC interior.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday building ridge located over BC interior.

At 10:30 p.m. PDT Friday quasi-stationary trough located west of
Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:15 PM PDT 22 October 2020 A frontal system will continue to cross the northern and central
waters tonight producing southeasterly gales from Bowie to waters
surrounding Northern Vancouver Island. Winds will ease to strong
northeasterly overnight in Bowie and late Friday morning across
waters surrounding Northern Vancouver Island.

A trough develops west of Vancouver Island late Friday in the
Wake of the frontal system. Gale force northwesterlies will develop
over Southeastern Explorer and parts of West Coast Vancouver Island
South Friday night.

A ridge of high pressure over BC Interior will intensify on Friday.
Strong to gale force northerly outflow winds will develop through the
mainland inlets of the BC coast. The winds are expected to continue
through the weekend.
