Issued 9:30 PM PDT 6 October 2024 Tonight and Monday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located over Hecate Straitextending southwestward.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Monday weakening frontal system located on a line
north-south over northern Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:22 PM PDT 6 October 2024 A frontal system over Hecate Strait and extending southwestwards isgiving gale force southerlies to northern and central waters. Local
storm force southerly winds are expected over most central waters and
near Northern Vancouver Island tonight.
The frontal system will move eastward and weaken to lie over the
Central Coast Monday. Winds will ease to strong to gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the front and moderate to strong
southwesterlies behind it.
