Issued 9:30 PM PST 4 March 2021 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low located near Langara.By 4:00 a.m. PST Friday departing low located off the Alaska
panhandle.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low 998 mb located south of Explorer.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Friday high 990 mb located off Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Friday weakening low 990 mb located off the
Central Coast.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday approaching frontal system located
off Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:30 PM PST 4 March 2021 A low off Haida Gwaii will track northwards across Haida Gwaiitonight and into the Alaskan Panhandle on Friday. Ahead of the low,
gale to hurricane force southerlies will shift to storm to hurricane
force westerly in its wake.
Another low will track northeastwards over Explorer overnight, then
onto the Central Coast Friday afternoon. Ahead of the low, gale to
hurricane force southeasterlies will develop west of Vancouver Island
overnight and spread to the inner South Coast Friday morning as
strong to gale force. Gale to storm force winds will develop over
Queen Charlotte Sound and the Central Coast Friday afternoon as the
low move over. In its wake the winds will shift to strong to gale
force westerly.
